The Bard Enters the Party!?
As we inch closer and closer to our expo date in September it’s time to bring in some sweet, sweet, tunes and ambience to Lich’s Lair. We’re working with an incredible sound student Lola (plug?) to add some much-needed atmosphere to our monster-hunting escapades.

Although we manage to cover a lot of creative and technical bases with the array of abilities the members on our team have, one aspect we’ve been unable to touch on has been sound design. A few weeks ago, we were given the opportunity to start working with Mages of Malice’s resident musician Lola.
As of now, we have roughly 8 tracks of combat and ambience music that fits with the project. We’ve been taking a lot of inspiration from the feel of the DOOM soundtracks; mixing a lot of high-energy, heavy songs during combat with some eerie ambient tracks interspersed between. It’s been really impressive seeing Lola’s work and we can’t wait until the tracks are integrated fully into the game. It should really elevate the experience of the gameplay.
